Bobcat 773 Turbo Specs: Skid Steer Features and Design

,

The 773 Turbo Skid Steer is a non-current model skid steer offered by the company. Due to it being older, there is limited information available on it.

This article provides everything I’ve found on the website and brochure.

There appear to be two versions of the 773 that are available. The first is one from 1989 and the G-Series.

The differences between the two seem to be quite minimal. The main differences are in the overall length and weight.

Either way, all information is taken from the Bobcat website.

Design

Interior Design

The 773 is a great skid steer that keeps the operator in mind. It focuses on making the operator comfortable but also safe. There is an adjustable cushion seat with a large opening for entry and exit, but there is a Bobcat Interlock Control System (BICS) which protects the driver from potential dangers of the machine. This provides safety by requiring the operator to be in the seat with the seat bar in place in order to use the hydraulic and lifting functions.

Also located inside is the instrument panel which provides monitoring and diagnostics for machine maintenance on major features. There are warning lights that will alert the driver when maintenance is required.

Featured on the 773 Turbo is the option to add air conditioning to the cabin.

Performance Design

The 773 is designed with optimized performance in mind. There is a Dual Path Cooling System which helps keep the engine cool and clean.

There is an Engine Hydraulic Shutdown which will cause the engine to shut down in extreme conditions, like when temperature or pressure build up.
